Who says just because we are grown ups we need to stop loving toys. I am a Gen X kid, the first generation to really thrive on technology and I, for one, have a living room full of game controllers, gamer consoles, puzzles, tech gadgets, and my old faithful laptop mini. I thrive on tech toys and it brings me much joy to see the evolution of gaming.
Motion controllers have been attempted a few times within the past 10 years and have come across unsuccessful. We have the Move by sony which was made for the playstation which I felt lagged and failed to keep up. And about four years ago Nintendo successfully developed their motion sensor device for the Wii which required a controller. Now ladies and gentleman we can successfully feel the future in our fingertips and control everything with a sway of our hand and a prompt in our voice, no controller required.
This is exciting indeed!
I have included some video of kinect demonstrations. Oh Santa, if you’re out there, I want a Kinect!
